Project Paint Our Bedroom: As you know, our house is currently undergoing , kicked off by my dad's weeklong visit to handyman around.

In addition to many other upgrades, we're painting nearly every space in the house. It's quite a large job to think about, but I'm trying to think about it one room at a time so I don't get overwhelmed!

The first room I decided to tackle was our bedroom. The builders painted every single wall in our house, including the ceilings, all the same yellowish-tan color in flat.  I hate it.  I hate the color, I hate the flatness, and I especially hate that the ceilings are all that color too. Who likes painting ceilings?  Ug.  Despite, I put on a happy face and began taping and prepping away:

We decided on a flat bright white for the ceilings, a creamy light linen color for most of the walls, and a pale olive color for an accent wall.  I'm really excited about how it turned out.  Unfortunately, some of the photos may be a bit hard to see the true colors:

Now that the room is all put back together, our final finishing touches will be window treatments and a large mirror for over our dresser. I've had homemade curtains hanging since we moved in:

I really do love them, but we've been wanting to install blackout blinds for some time now.  We'll see how it all works out, and I promise I'll update you!

Wow, what a lot of work! Rooms always look better with a lighter ceiling than the walls. The olive is very calming :)

It looks great so far! It's amazing what a big different paint can make. I love your kitty helpers on the bed.
